1. How do I put the Bag Buddy together?

Each Bag Buddy consists of two sides and one base unit. Insert the sides into the plastic corner brackets on the base and your Bag Buddy is ready to use.

2. What size bag do I use with what Bag Buddy?

Bag Buddy is designed to exert constant tension on the “mouth” of the bag, thereby keeping it open without the use of hands or clips. This constant side tension will also support the bag, but once the bag you use has been attached it should rest completely on the base (ground) rather than be suspended above it. In Canada we recommend a minimum plastic bag height of 32” (81 cm.) for the Regular (Normal) 99191 Bag Buddy, and a minimum plastic bag height of 42” (106 cm.) for the Extra Large (Tres Grand) 99192 Bag Buddy. In the US we recommend 30 and 33 gallon bags for the Regular 99193 Bag Buddy, and 39 and 45 gallon bags for the Extra Large (Extra Grande) 99194 Bag Buddy. Where available, the Contractor 99196 Bag Buddy requires the minimum 50” (127 cm.) or 55 gallon bag.

3. How much weight can I put in the Bag Buddy?

Generally the weight issue is a function of the strength of the bag and lifting capability of the operator. Do not fill a bag beyond what you are able to carry or beyond what the bag can hold.

4. I live in Canada, Is there anyway I can get the Contractor/Industrial size 196?

Many bottle depots and recycle centers are using the Contractor/Industrial size Bag Buddy. If you are unable to source your 99196 Bag Buddy locally, Contact Us through our website for assistance.
